HUDSON — A missing Pelham woman was found by Hudson police late Thursday afternoon inside her crashed SUV off Derry Road, police said.

Susan Jozokos, 47, suffered serious injuries when her 2006 Ford Expedition left the parking lot of Rymes Propane and Oil, veered off the roadway and went down a 40-foot, steep embankment.

She is in Massachusetts General Hospital recovering from her injuries.

Authorities said they need more information to determine how the accident occurred.

Hudson police began searching for her Jozokos after family members reported her missing. She had last been heard from at 3:35 p.m. Thursday and was thought to be on her way to see someone in Litchfield, police said.

Authorities learned that her cell phone was still operating and it was located in the area of 334 Derry Road.

A search of the area for roughly two hours using thermal imaging ultimately found her car with her inside at the wheel, injured and unconscious.

Initially, she was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and later transferred to the Boston hospital for treatment.

The Nashua police K-9 unit had responded to the incident.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information about it is urged to contact Hudson police officials at 603-886-6011.
