CONCORD -- Portsmouth Mayor Jack Blalock told a state Senate committee he was “losing sleep” over concerns people in the Seacoast community have raised about the Coakley landfill Superfund cleanup site in North Hampton and Greenland.

“I wish they had taken the whole thing ... picked it up and put it someplace where no one could find it,” Blalock told the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, which held a hearing on House Bill 1766 Tuesday.
