Pease Air National Guard Base is home to the 157th Air Refueling Wing, which has been selected by the U.S. Air Force as the top Air National Guard base to receive the new KC-46A tanker.

But delivery of the first KC-46 aircraft — last planned for August 2017 — is now expected to be more than a year late, and technical issues have cropped up during development and testing. The Air Force will eventually receive 179 new tankers. The delays have raised the ire of the Air Force.
